Early Childhood Success

Aligning community programs, services, and resources to better prepare Oceanside’s and our greater North San Diego County service region’s children and young adults for success in college, career and life, with an emphasis on improving the kindergarten readiness and early literacy of our youngest children living in poverty.

Our Goals:

  • Every child enters school kindergarten ready

  • Every student is proficient in English Language Arts by the end of third grade

The North San Diego County Promise’s Early Childhood Success Collective Action Network is comprised of individuals and organizations committed to helping all children and young adults reach their fullest potential in college, career and life. The Action Network is chaired by Lisa Turner (Palomar Family Counseling Services). Our current priorities include:

  1. Educate and Engage Parents and Families in Early Childhood Success (Prenatal through Third Grade)

  2. Ensure Access to High Quality Early Care and Education

  3. Build Bridges Between Early Childhood and K-3 Education

  4. Ignite Community Ownership and Engagement in Early Childhood Success

  5. Align and Pursue Funding Sources to Support Collaboration

The Early Childhood Success Collective Action Network meets every other month. If you are interested in helping support kindergarten readiness and our overarching Collective Action Network priorities, please contact us.
