Fostering Early Childhood Success

Aligning community programs, services, and resources to better prepare Oceanside’s and our greater North San Diego County service region’s children and young adults for success in grade school, college, career and life, with an emphasis on improving the kindergarten readiness and early literacy of our youngest children living in poverty.

Our Goals:

• Every child enters school kindergarten ready

• Every student is proficient in English Language Arts by the end of third grade

The North San Diego County Promise’s Early Childhood Success Collective Action Network is comprised of individuals and organizations committed to helping all children and young adults reach their fullest potential in grade school, college, career and life. Our current priorities include:

1. Educating and engaging parents and families in early childhood success (prenatal through third grade);

2. Ensuring access to high-quality early care and education;

3. Building bridges between early childhood and K-3 education;

4. Igniting community ownership and engagement in early childhood success; and

5. Aligning and pursuing funding sources to support collaboration.
